3. Old Shirogane Tunnel (Gojo City)

The old Shirogane Tunnel is known as one of the most dangerous haunted spots in Nara Prefecture. Rumors of gruesome incidents that occurred there in the past persist, and it is said that the tunnel's somber history still lingers there today. Many people visit it for a test of courage, but it's best not to enter with a half-hearted attitude.

The moment I stepped into the old Shirogane Tunnel in the middle of the night, I was enveloped in a biting cold and the sound of a woman sobbing from somewhere. As I went further in, a white shadow suddenly crossed the horizon in front of my headlights. Fear paralyzed me, and I couldn't go any further. It was undoubtedly something that wasn't human.

4. Shirataka-Okami (Nara City)

Shirataka-Okami is a ruined shrine that was once used as a training ground for a new religious movement. It is known as a place where a powerful spiritual energy permeates, and careless entry is considered dangerous. It is said that the spirit of a fox was enshrined here, and perhaps due to its influence, strange phenomena occur to those who visit.

The Head-Cutting Jizo on the Yagyu Road is said to be the place where the master swordsman Araki Mataemon tested his sword.
